How funds are used
Donors, partners, banks and regulators should be able to see exactly how money moves through the foundation. This page explains it.
Where the money comes from
Our funding comes from individual donations made through our website, and from grants from other charitable organizations. We don't sell products or services.
Where the money goes
- Program costs: veterinary treatment, sterilization, vaccinations, food, medicine, shelter supplies and education work.
- Operating costs: payment processing fees, website hosting, accounting and legal filings required to operate as a nonprofit.
Our goal is to keep operating costs as low as possible and put the large majority of every donation into direct animal care.
How payments are made
- We pay veterinarians, suppliers and partner shelters directly by bank transfer.
- Every payment is matched to an invoice, receipt or case record.
- We don't give cash to individuals.
- International payments go only to registered or licensed partners, and we screen every partner and payment against applicable sanctions lists.
Reporting
We publish an annual report on this page with total donations, program spending, operating costs and program results. We also file all required annual reports with the State of Wyoming and returns with the IRS.
Our first annual report will be published after the end of our first full year of operation.
