• Donation information: your name, email address, billing address, donation amount and frequency. Card and bank details are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Contact information: your name, email address and anything you write when you contact us or apply to become a partner.
• Technical information: basic data sent by your browser, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of your visit, collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.

2. How we use your information

• To process donations and send receipts
• To manage recurring donations and respond to your requests
• To review partner applications and administer our programs
• To keep records required by law, including tax and accounting records
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
• To send updates about our work, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, we process your data to perform our agreement with you (processing your donation), to comply with legal obligations (record keeping), for our legitimate interests (preventing fraud, improving the website), and with your consent (email updates).

4. How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with:

• Payment processors such as Stripe, to process donations under their own privacy policies
• Banks and financial service providers we use to hold and transfer funds
• Service providers such as hosting, email and accounting providers, who may only use the data to provide services to us
• Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety and property

5. International transfers

We are based in the United States and work with partners in several countries. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Data retention

We keep donation and financial records for at least seven years to meet tax and legal requirements. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and then delete or anonymize it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and to delete. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children
